Mews and Nips: Edgar’s Mission Rescues Tortie Trapped Between Two Sheds

Tinsel-Edgars-Mission

Australian farm sanctuary Edgar’s Mission, a Lancefield, Victoria non profit dedicated to creating a humane world for humans and non-humans, mounted one of the most amazing rescues I’ve seen in a while. On December 23, they received a call that a tiny kitten had become wedged between two metal sheds. Rescuers could hear the tiny kittens cries, but the situation seemed helpless. Phonecall after phonecall brought them no closer to getting the kitten out. It was a miracle that Tinsel, as the kitten was named, was still alive when rescuers were finally able to pry the metal sheeting far enough apart to get to the kitten. Read the full story on the Edgar’s Mission blog.

If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Sunday, we reflected on the space between the years, on Monday, we rounded up our five most popular feline health posts of 2015, on Tuesday, I revealed my choices for last year’s best cat books, on Wednesday we recapped last year’s five most popular feline lifestyle posts, on Thursday, Allegra and Ruby got ready to party on New Year’s Eve, and on Friday we celebrated the New Year.

I know we’ve all experienced just how helpful kitties can be when it comes to making the bed – you’ll probably recognize your cat’s strategy in today’s video. Enjoy!

Have a great weekend!
