Mews and Nips: Royal Mail Bans Deliveries Due to Mail Snatching Cat

black-and-white-cat

A couple in Bristol in the UK received a warning notice from the Royal Mail that deliveries to their home may be suspended “due to the actions of a cat on the property.” It turns out that Bella, a beautiful black and white moggy, thinks it’s a fun game when the mail starts coming through the slot in the door, and has been batting at the envelopes as soon as they start appearing. The notice stated that the postman reported that when he pushes the mail through the letterbox, the cat “snatches the mail and puts his fingers at risk.” Visit the Bristol Post to watch a video of Bella in action.

If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Sunday, we told you about the mindful pause technique, on Monday, we introduced you to a new initiative from the Jackson Galaxy Foundation aimed at enriching the lives of shelter cats, on Tuesday, we reviewed the Lacey’s Lookout™ Window Seat, on Wednesday, we told you about Rainbow Bridge Memorials, and on Friday, we reviewed Iris Grace, a book about a very special relationship between an autistic child and a Maine Coon cat. And don’t forget to enter our giveaway for a Bootsie’s Corner Scratcher from Pioneer Pet Products!

Today’s video features off the scale cuteness – enjoy!

Have a great weekend!
