A couple from Spokane, Washington fell in love with a cat whose photo they had seen on an adoption website. Then they realized Muffin was in Iowa. When the rescue group contacted them asking whether they were still interested, they decided it was meant to be and drove 1,700 miles to get their new family member. For more about Muffin, and some wonderful photos with his new family, visit The Dodo.

If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Sunday, we announced that The Conscious Cat won the Nose-to-Nose Award for Best Cat Blog, on Monday, we celebrated Independence Day, on Tuesday, Dr. Kristopher Chandroo shared how he uses silver vine to successfully medicate grump cats, on Wednesday, we told you about the dangers of secondhand smoke for cats, and on Friday, we reviewed the coloring book Magical Cats Pads of Color. And don’t forget to enter our giveaway for a CATcap Gift Pack from Capsuline!

Today’s video is surely a cat’s version of paradise. You’ll have to watch until 1:18 so the video’s title will make sense to you. Enjoy!
