dragon-kitten

A tiny tortoiseshell kitten used up one of her nine lives when she somehow got into the Komodo dragon habitat at the Ft. Worth zoo. The kitten was spotted by zookeeper and taken to the North Texas Humane Society. Now named Komodo, she is in foster care until she is old enough for adoption. Source: The Dallas Morning News.

If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Sunday, we shared purrs of wisdom about how to be content, on Monday, we explained the difference between normal aging and disease, on Tuesday and Wednesday, we featured a two-part interview with cat consultant Daniel “DQ” Quagliozzi, and on Friday, we introduced you to a checklist that will help make vet visits less stressful for your cats and for you. And don’t forget to enter our giveaway for an original cat painting by Adriana Gasperi!

In the spirit of the Olympics, today’s video shows a kitten who apparently was determined to participate in a beach volleyball game. Enjoy!
