Mews and Nips: Aristo-Cats Welcome Visitors to Britain’s Stately Homes

When I visited England during my high school years, I loved visiting the country’s “stately homes” – large, historic mansions that were or are occupied by British aristocracy and are open to the public. Now these homes have found a new way to increase visitors: a growing number of tourists are being enticed by the possibility of meeting the felines-in-residence at these homes. Visit the Telegraph for the full story.

If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Sunday, we talked about the importance of being kind, on Monday, we presented an overview of Feline Anatomy 101, on Tuesday, we reviewed Raw Paws Pet Food, on Wednesday, we asked how safe your cat’s carrier would be in a car crash, on Thursday, we introduced you to some gorgeous new cat handbags from Triple T Studios, and on Friday, we reviewed the newest book by the author of the Dalai Lama’s Cat series, The Queen’s Corgi.

Today’s video of a famous Sushi chef preparing a special meal for his cat made me smile – what a lucky kitty!

Have a great weekend!
