Is the British government going to the cats? Larry the Downing Street Cat has long resided at the Prime Minister’s residence, and more recently, the British Treasury employed Gladstone as the agency’s official mousecatcher. Last week, rescue cats Evie and Ossie began working at the Cabinet Office. For more on the UK’s hard working feline government employees, visit CNN.com.

If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Sunday, we encouraged you to make time for the things that bring you light, on Monday, we shared information on how the Assisi Loop helps a cat with lymphoma, on Tuesday, we introduced you to the new wall mountable shelves from KATRIS, on Wednesday, we told you how one pet food company makes sure their food is safe, on Thursday, we shared our favorite food foraging toys, and on Friday, we reviewed Men With Cats.

Many of you have already gotten a taste of winter, so I thought it was timely to share Simon’s Cat’s Guide to Winter with you today – enjoy!

Have a great weekend!
