On April 4, 2017, doors opened at the brand new Best Friends Pet Adoption Center in New York City. While Best Friends has been working to save pets in NYC for some time through adoptions and large-scale events, the center’s opening is a new beginning. The state-of-the-art space welcomes visitors to meet adoptable cats and dogs, and engages them in Best Friends’ mission to end the killing of pets in shelters by 2025. If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Sunday, we launched our new “Sunday Quotes” feature, on Monday, we told you how the Assisi Loop can help cats with arthritis, on Tuesday, we introduced another new feature, “Ask the Cat Behaviorist with Mikel Delgado,” on Wednesday, guest blogger Rita Atkins shared her heart-touching story of what it’s like to live with a cat with behavioral challenges, and on Friday, we reviewed Dining and Driving with Cats. And don’t forget to enter our giveaway for a $50 gift certificate from Animal Hearted Apparel!
Today’s video features a kitten who helped her dad propose, and has been following the couple on hikes, road trips and, of course, was present at the wedding. Enjoy!
Have a great weekend!
