Mews and Nips: Meet the Pianist Who Rescues Injured Cats

sarper-duman-cat-pianist

Sarper Duman, a pianist who lives in Istanbul, Turkey, rescued nine cats he found injured in the streets and brought them home to help then heal. They have become his most loyal audience. “I always play piano at my home almost every night, and whenever I sit to play, all my cats come around, they hang out with me and they love to sleep around the piano.” For more about Sarper and his feline family and some wonderful photos, please visit LoveMeow.com.

If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Sunday, we talked about the gifts of autumn, on Monday, we told you what your cat’s vocal expressions mean, on Tuesday, we reviewed the Neko Flies Ultimate Rod and Birbug toy, on Wednesday, we featured Balanced Blends’ guide to raw feeding, on Thursday, we reported on how the Assisi Loop helps a three-legged cat with back pain, and on Friday, we reviewed Jackson Galaxy’s new book Total Cat Mojo: The Ultimate Guide to Life With Your Cat.

Of all the videos out there of Sarper and his cat, this one is my favorite. The way it shows the bond between the two of them just melts my heart. Enjoy!

Have a great weekend!
