Mews and Nips: Move Over, Cat Cafés, Now There’s a Cat Pub!

cat-pub

The cat café craze shows no signs of letting up (look for a report about my visit to Meow Parlour in New York City soon,) but if your beverage of choice is a little more potent than coffee or tea, you need to visit Bag o’ Nails in Bristol in the UK. Mashable reports that the cosy little watering hole is home to 15 cats, many of whom spend their time casually draped over the bar or in the laps of the pub’s customers. Visit Mashable to learn more about the pub and to see some wonderful photos.

If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Sunday, I reflected on what happens when a close friend moves away, on Monday, we explored whether cats should eat grass, and we also alerted you to a Blue Buffalo cat treat recall, on Tuesday, we introduced you the Leeo Smart Alert, which protects your home and your cats when you’re not there, on Wednesday, we introduced you to five people whose lives have been transformed by their cats, and on Friday, we reviewed Do Unto Animals by Tracey Stewart. And don’t forget to enter our giveaway for a holiday basket of toys from Purrfectplay!

Today’s video is sure to bring smiles – who knew that having your windows washed is a form of environmental enrichment for cats!
