Mews and Nips: Tortoiseshell Cat Gets Loose on Delta Flight

cat-Delta-flight

A tortoiseshell cat decided to take an unauthorized walk while mid-air on a Delta flight, and the resulting video quickly went viral with headlines such as “hilarious mid-flight video,” “cat stalking Delta plane and terrifying flight attendant,” and more along those lines. The video shows the tortie walking into the galley area of the plane while a flight attendant tries to get her to sit like a dog. Eventually, the cat’s owner responds to the flight attendant’s page and shows up with a backpack. According to The Mirror, she was able to coax the cat back into the bag easily. I may be in the minority, but there’s not much about this video that I find amusing. Accidents happen, and we don’t know why the cat got out of her carrier, but all I could think of while watching the video was what a disastrous end this could have had for the cat. Read the full story and watch the video on The Mirror.

If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Sunday, we introduced you to the benefits of cat coloring books, Monday, we offered some tips on how to help feral and stray cats survive the cold winter months, on Tuesday, we revealed our choice for 10 best cat products of 2015, on Wednesday, we shared some beautiful photos of cats and Christmas trees, on Thursday, I offered some Christmas Eve reflections and updated you on what is happening with pre-orders for my new book Tortitude: The BIG Book About Cats With a BIG Attitude. I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas yesterday!

Since it has been anything but wintery in parts of the United States, I thought today’s video would be a way to bring a little happiness to all of you snow lovers. Enjoy!

Have a great weekend!
