In a city like Tokyo, where owning a pet is a luxury and most apartments have strict anti-pet policies, Ferray Corporation has found a way to give its employees a chance to interact with cats more often: a cat-populated work place.Nine rescue cats get to roam Ferray’s offices freely all day. And while letting cats run free in an office can have unintended consequences (unplugged Wifi, anyone?), employee are reporting considerably lower stress levels. For more about the office cats and some wonderful photos, visit Odditycentral.com.

If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Sunday, we reflected on lessons from the Super Bowl, on Monday, we provided information on hospice care for cats, on Tuesday, we explained the difference between microchips and GPS tracking devices, on Wednesday, I invited you to today’s Tortitude Lauch Party, on Thursday, we featured adorable cat-themed baking accessories, and on Friday, we showed you some different ways of how to tell your cat “I love you.”

The kitty in today’s video apparently likes a really light touch when it comes to being petted. Enjoy!

Have a great weekend!
