Mews and Nips: 25-Year-Old Cat Finds New Home

25-year-old-cat-adopted

When Sandi Smith heard about 25-year-old Tiger, whose guardian had to give her up for adoption due to a medical procedure, she said “my heart just broke.” Tiger doesn’t like other pets, and even though Smith already had seven cats and two dogs at home, she adopted the senior kitty, who now lives at Smith’s antique store. She has the run of the place, with plenty of pieces of furniture to hide behind and lounge on. For more about Tiger and some photos in her new residence, visit the Naples Daily News.

If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Sunday, we told you about the importance of self care, on Monday, we addressed whether coconut oil is safe for cats, on Tuesday, we featured toys that will keep your cats fit, on Wednesday, we introduced you to a diabetic alert cat, on Thursday, we told you about a comprehensive video course to help you medicate even the most reluctant cat, and on Friday, we talked about the importance of having a cat care plan in place if you can’t get home in case of an emergency.

Today’s video of a assisting her human massage therapist made me smile, because it reminded me of Buckley, who often “assisted” with my Reiki sessions. Enjoy!

Have a great weekend!
