Mews and Nips: Meet Two Cats Who Thrive on Adventure

adventure-cats

You may have come across brothers Bolt and Keel on Instagram. These two young cats love exploring the Western Canadian wilderness with their human. Kaylee Vanderee found the two tiny kittens behind a trash can in the summer of 2015. She meant to take them to a local shelter, but by the time she got there, the shelter was closed. She and her partner had plans to go hiking that weekend, so they took the kittens with them. It was only the first of many adventures for the pair, who enjoy kayaking, snow shoeing and hiking. Read more about the pair on Pawculture.

If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Sunday, we observed National Feral Cat Day, on Monday, we honored veterinary technicians, on Tuesday, we introduced you to an adorable cat coffee mug, on Wednesday, we offered some Halloween safety tips, and on Friday, we reviewed Oliver the Cat Who Saved Christmas. And don’t forget to enter our giveaway for a set of 3 cute cat collars!

I came across this video from a few years ago of a TV station cat interrupting a German weather forecaster during his broadcast, and just had to share it. I love how he doesn’t miss a beat!

Have a great weekend!
